J: Sharon, can you introduce yourself in a few words?
S: I have the privilege on leading a team of investment counsellors that are tagged to different clients, but essentially all have the ambition to reach a certain financial goal.
J: How long have you been working for BNP Paribas Wealth Management?
S: I've been with BNP Paribas for about eight years. It's been a fantastic journey. I think it's a great to be part of an organization that is very supportive of our community and people.
J: What manager have you become in eight years?
S: I started out as an FX trader and later on global market sales and now wealth management. I can appreciate the different depths and the challenges that each business line has. And I think I bring together these different experiences to really allow my team to really understand that when we work for an organization, it's just not your own personal goals. We have to respect in terms of the firm, the different challenges they all have, and also find a way to come together to meet a certain goal.
J: And in your view, what are the strengths of BNP Paribas Wealth Management?
S: BNP Paribas is clearly different in the way that it's able to commit to certain long-term goals and the fact that different parts of the organization come together to share that vision.
I'll give you a good example. BNP Paribas is very committed when it comes to SRI goals: the way we think in terms of investments, the way we advise clients, I think it's fantastic.
So it's not just being passive about it, but being very active in terms of how we play a part in society to actually drive that change. And this is something that is very unique to BNP Paribas.
I think it's clear that every part of the organization shares that vision.
